Repeat Prescription Service
There are currently two types of repeat prescription service available.
i) The first is to offer patients supporting obtaining their medication from the local village Saughall Surgery. Prescriptions are collected from the Surgery on a daily basis between 11.30 am and 12.00 noon. We require patient consent to collect prescriptions of your behalf. Then on each subsequent occasion you will need to contact the pharmacy and the surgery to inform them that you would like your prescription to go to Saughall pharmacy. After allowing at least 48 hours (working time- ie exclude weekends and half days), the prescription will be collected and dispensed. This can then be collected from Saughall Pharmacy. If you have difficulty getting to the pharmacy, a delivery of your medications may be made.
ii) The second is a new service. Saughall Pharmacy is part of West Cheshire - Chester PCT second wave government pilot for repeat dispensing. Some patients on a small number of regular medication will be given the opportunity of making fewer visits to their surgery to collect repeat prescriptions. GP's will print multiply prescriptions for certain items which can then be collected from the pharmacy at set intervals.
