Mirvaso comes as a cream that is applied to the skin once daily. Patients should also avoid triggers that can cause flare-ups, such as sunlight, wind, hot weather, and spicy foods. If flare-ups do occur, Mirvaso Gel can be used as needed to help reduce the redness quickly.

Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to brimonidine tartrate.

  • Inform your doctor of any prescription medication you are using.

Directions

  • It is important to use this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor or follow the instructions provided on the product leaflet.
  • Mirvaso comes in a pump bottle and is applied to the skin once a day.
  • If you are using the pump dispenser, prime it before using it for the first time. You can pump out at least 5-8 times.
  • Press down on the pump with your forefinger to release a small amount of cream into your hand.
  • Apply the cream to the areas of your face where you have redness.
  • Gently massage in until it is evenly distributed.
  • Wash your hands before and after applying this medication.
  • The pump should be stored at room temperature, away from light and moisture.

  • The inactive ingredients in Mirvaso gel are carbomer, glycerol, phenoxyethanol, purified water and sodium hydroxide.
